Here in Marion County you can head out to Macy’s at the Paddock Mall on August 23rd, shop, save and give back to help babies!

Description: A rewarding volunteer opportunity open to everyone! Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Paynes Prairie by helping with a community volunteer project.
Join fellow Paynes Prairie fans and help restore native habitat by removing invasive exotic plants. This is a great opportunity to learn more about exotic plants, spend some time OFF the trail in a different area of Paynes Prairie, and contribute a helping hand. If you are a student or individual with an interest in acquiring volunteer hours, this is also a great way to earn a few hours. Meet Paynes Prairie’s 2014 Americorps members, and learn more about the Project A.N.T. program.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets please.
Bring a water bottle and work gloves if you have them.
Wear long pants and comfortable working shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

4th Annual College of Central Florida SAB 5K Benefit Run with Celebrity Chairperson - Hunter from WIND FM!
Proceeds will benefit local organizations helping women with Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Research!Registration begins at 7 a.m.Race begins at 8 a.m.

Registration begins at 7 a.m.Race begins at 8 a.m.Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the race.Age groups recognized will be 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 64-69, 70 +.Will have female and male categories.5K run/walk around the CF Ocala Campus - paved street surface.This is the 4th Annual 5K and we are partnering again with WIND FM and "Running for Hunter" - who is their on-air personality that is a breast cancer survivor.Prizes will be given in all categories, including overall winner at the conclusion of the race.

Do you know a veteran family that is homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless? Meridian can help with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). SSVF helps veteran families to quickly gain stability in permanent housing. Services include case management, coordinating VA benefits, referral to community services, and temporary financial assistance for eligible expenses. Together we can help to support our veterans.
