DETAILS: Volunteers are needed for many tasks including filing, data entry, reception, family greeters, scanning, mailings and general office assistance.  No experience necessary.  A volunteer application, interview and criminal background check are required prior to volunteering. Do you know a veteran family that is homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless? Meridian can help with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). SSVF helps veteran families to quickly gain stability in permanent housing. Services include case management, coordinating VA benefits, referral to community services, and temporary financial assistance for eligible expenses. Together we can help to support our veterans. Spring Promenade is Back!
Spring Promenade is Back! The Spring Promenade is back after a hiatus of two years, the Thomas Center Associates is hosting the Spring Promenade from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on March 7, 2015. The tour of historic homes in the Duckpond neighborhood will feature six houses, ranging in size and one beautifully remodeled historic house that is now a business. Transportation by van will be available although the sites are all within easy walking distance. Tickets cost $15.00 and may be purchased on the day of the event at the Thomas Center.

Take Back the Night March and Rally to End Sexual Violence
Rally against sexual violence at Take Back the Night on April First. Join UF and community partners on Norman Field, 1260 SW 8th Ave, from 6-9 p.m. Survivors are invited to speak on the nature of their sexual assault and recovery, and anyone demonstrating their support for survivors and for ending sexual violence is welcome.
