This Halloween season, the Hippodrome takes on a campy twist with the comedic SLASHER - it will have you screaming with laughter!   The Hipp is well known for staging the area’s best Halloween-themed productions, and this Halloween comedy takes you behind-the-scenes of a Hollywood slasher movie.    SLASHER opens Friday, October 17, 2014 with reduced price previews October 15 & 16, with 8 shows a week. Showtimes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7pm, Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 5pm & 8:30pm, Sundays at 2pm & 7pm thru November 9. Tickets on sale now at (352)375-HIPP (4477) and thehipp.org.
The title of this play is SLASHER. It’s got words your mom doesn’t approve of; campy violence (we’re professionals, don’t try this at home); power-tools, mannequins, girls on roller-skates, evangelists, and pill-popping agoraphobics on scooters (don’t say you weren’t warned).
