The Thespian Troupe from Forest High School will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee conceived by Rebecca Feldman with book by Rachel Sheinkin, music and lyrics by William Finn on April 29th, April 30th, and May 1st.  Performances will start at 7pm inside the school’s auditorium located at 5000 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, 34471.  Tickets may be purchased at the door for $5 for students and $10 for adults.  For more information, call 352/671.4700.

The ARRL Field Day Ham Radio will be held at the Silver Springs Radio Club Contest Locala, 161 Oak Cirlce, Ocala (Silver Springs Shores).  Please check the club website k4gso.us to sign up and get directions.  Public and media welcome.  
Eat smart, play smart with the University of Florida’s new Childhood Health and Asthma Management Program. CHAMP promotes optimal health in children ages 6 to 12 who have asthma and are at the higher end of the growth curve. Kids and families will participate in fun games that teach children about growing healthy and strong, learn ways to prevent and cope with asthma symptoms, and sample tasty and healthy foods. Do you know a veteran family that is homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless? Meridian can help with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). SSVF helps veteran families to quickly gain stability in permanent housing. Services include case management, coordinating VA benefits, referral to community services, and temporary financial assistance for eligible expenses. Together we can help to support our veterans. Take Back the Night March and Rally to End Sexual Violence
Rally against sexual violence at Take Back the Night on April First. Join UF and community partners on Norman Field, 1260 SW 8th Ave, from 6-9 p.m. Survivors are invited to speak on the nature of their sexual assault and recovery, and anyone demonstrating their support for survivors and for ending sexual violence is welcome.

Mommy and Me Storybook Tea
The GFWC Gainesville Woman’s Club is hosting “Mommy and Me Storybook Tea” on May 2, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Mommies, grandmothers, aunts, friends or neighbors can bring a young child or children to the Mommy & Me Storybook Tea. Children’s costumes are optional. There will storybook characters, crafts, photo booth, tea sandwiches and desserts. Proceeds will benefit the Guardian Angel Medical Dogs, Inc.
