Dust off your Skimmers, shake out your Flapper gowns, knock three times, whisper your password low and enter the Gainesville Woman’s Club hideaway for Chasers, an original radio show set in the rip roaring 1920s in a North Florida speakeasy.
The play, written by Norman Gilliland and directed by Betty Attie, features the University of Florida Jazz Band. Doors will open at 6:15 pm on Saturday, February 21, with dinner at 7:00, the play and a silent auction. On Sunday, February 22, the doors open at 12:15 pm and enjoy lunch at 1:00 pm followed by the Matinee. Both the Dinner and the Matinee will be catered by Chef Brothers Custom Catering. And you can join the fun for either performance dressed in your Roaring 20s outfit.
Proceeds will benefit the Alachua County Public Schools.

Potato Pancake Supper
Peace Lutheran Church, “The Church on the Hill,” 7201 Highway 41 South, 4 miles north of Dunnellon, will host their 24th Annual Potato Pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 17, from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. This popular event features delicious potato pancakes or buttermilk pancakes with ham, applesauce, dessert and beverage. Tickets, available at the door, are $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 through 11. Children under 5 are welcome at no charge.

Spring Promenade is Back!
Spring Promenade is Back!
The Spring Promenade is back after a hiatus of two years, the Thomas Center Associates is hosting the Spring Promenade from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on March 7, 2015. The tour of historic homes in the Duckpond neighborhood will feature six houses, ranging in size and one beautifully remodeled historic house that is now a business. Transportation by van will be available although the sites are all within easy walking distance. Tickets cost $15.00 and may be purchased on the day of the event at the Thomas Center.
