Annual EEO Public File Report for Ocala Broadcasting Corp., LLC.
a.) During the period of October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 Ocala Broadcasting Corporation, LCC. (WOGK, WNDD,WNDT, WNDN) did not have any full time job vacancies to be filled in
any job title. The company did not hire any part time employees.
b.) Therefore, Ocala Broadcasting Corp., LLC did not use any
recruitment sources to fill non-existent vacancies.
c.) Because of a.) and b.) no recruitment source sought or was
entitled to notifications of any vacancy.
d.) Because of a.), b.) and c.) there can be no identification of any
recruitment source for any referrals.
e.) Because there were no full time vacancies between October 1,
2011 and September 30, 2012 there were therefore no interviews
for any full time positions.
f.) For a list and brief description of the required non vacancy specific
recruitment measures selected from the F.C.C.’s menu that were
undertaken, please refer to the narrative statement immediately
following this page.
EEO Narrative
Ocala Broadcasting Corp., LLC. has been working to achieve a broad
and inclusive outreach program to educate and recruit persons for
future openings for WOGK-FM, WNDD-FM, WNDT-FM and WNDN-FM. This report covers the period of October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012.
During this time Ocala Broadcasting Corp., LLC. has done the following:
On March 22, 2012 Ocala Broadcasting Corp., LLC General Sales Manager Bob Kassi and WOGK Program Director Bob Forster attended the University of Florida summer job fair at the university in Gainesville, Florida. A total of 75 job seekers attended the event.
A total of 15 candidates were interviewed and their resumes accepted
for future consideration.
Ocala Broadcasting Corp. LLC (WOGK, WNDD, WNDT,WNDN)
maintains an on going internship program to recruit and instruct
potential future broadcasters.
Between April 2012 and June 2012, Katy Belton, a student at the
University of Florida served an internship. Ms. Belton interned one or two days a week in all departments including sales, programming, promotions and traffic and accounting. In addition, Ms. Belton voluntarily attended numerous station events and learned how the radio stations worked at public appearances. We had another
internship scheduled to start in August 2012 but due to the
students schedule change, he could not start.
During the reporting period the radio stations hosted tours on two different occasions of Cub Scout troops. The troops were given a behind the scenes tour of studios, including how the stations broadcast emergency information including weather and EAS announcements
