Symphony of Horses

Ocala, Fl ---- On February 27, 2010 the Marion Therapeutic Horseback Riding Association (MTRA) is very happy to announce they will bring back the Symphony of Horses to Ocala. This signature fundraising event will be held at the Ocala Equestrian Complex, next to OBS. The live music will be under the direction of long time local, Sam McClung and the emcee for the evening will be Denny Chapman.

The Symphony of Horses has been an extremely popular event in Ocala and showcases the area’s world class equine athletes and performers while they perform to a live chamber size orchestra. In the past, an audience of over 3000 applauds the show which benefits the riding center. This will be the fourth time MTRA has hosted this beloved community event.

MTRA is one of the most active and innovative therapeutic riding centers in the United States offering classes to both youth and adults with a variety of disabilities. And with MTRA’s recent partnership with Central Florida Community College (CFCC), MTRA is becoming one of the nations “go to centers “ for instructor certifications and education. In existence since 1985, the adaptive horseback riding center serves approximately 180 people yearly and no rider has ever been turned away because of an inability to pay.  “The Symphony of Horses helps pay what others cannot,” says Kate Robbins, MTRA’s Program Director, “And we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring it back to Ocala.”
